The Girls Aloud beauty is well on her way to signing a $2.2million deal with the US version of X Factor, if reports swirling in the British press are to be believed.
Simon Cowell has apparently negotiated the sum for the Geordie lass, insisting that the 26-year-old is his "first choice" for the coveted judging role.
He is said to have held face-to-face talks with executives from the Fox network, where he insisted: "Cheryl is our girl".
"I took more of a gamble taking Piers Morgan to the States. Cheryl will be loved immediately," said the music mogul, who propelled Piers' star status in America when he appointed him judge on America's Got Talent. "We've got to nail her."
And if her success on the UK version of the show - on which she has mentored the winner for two consecutive years - is anything to go by, Cheryl will have no trouble winning over audiences across the Pond.
