Award-winning singer Emeli Sandé has married her long-term boyfriend Adam Gouraguine in his home country of Montenegro.
The pair met in her hometown of Aberdeen and announced their engagement in January.
A spokesperson said: "We can confirm the fact that Emeli married at the weekend but it is purely a private affair and no further details, quotes or pictures will be released, and we ask that her privacy is respected."
In one interview, however, for a local TV channel, the singer did reveal that she wants to take her husband's surname.
She said: “I want to be the part of his life and his family, so I want to add his surname. “I would also love to have a Montenegrin passport. I want to be part of his tradition."
The singer's great musical success was topped by her performance at the Olympics opening and closing ceremonies.
Her long player, Our Version Of Events, is the best selling album of 2012.
Emeli and marine biologist Adam have been dating for the past seven years.
