Gordon Ramsay was surrounded my family and friends as he opened his new five-star restaurant Union Street Café in London on Wednesday. The Michelin star chef arrived at the event with his wife Tana and their four children Jack, Meghan, Tilly and Holly.
Union Street Café is said to have a more casual atmosphere than the other restaurants in the Ramsay chain. The restaurant is set in a warehouse and maintains its original industrial feel by leaving the walls relatively bare and being furnished with blue leather chairs.
On its website the restaurant is described as "An urban warehouse destination near Borough, offering quality Mediterranean inspired food with a daily changing menu, prepared in an open theatre style kitchen."
Gordon's best friend David Beckham recently pulled out of investing in the project after the two experienced "artistic differences" disagreeing upon which direction the restaurant should take.
