Halle Berry released from hospital after accident on set

Halle Berry was rushed to hospital following a minor head injury that occured while filming The Hive in Los Angeles.

It's believed that the actress, 45, accidently fell and hit her head on some concrete. She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in LA around 10pm on Tuesday as a precaution.

A representative for the mum-of-one told TMZ: "Halle Berry suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film, The Hive. She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released."

The spokesperson added that Halle, 45, would "continue production as planned".

It's not the first mishap on set for the actresss.

The mother-of-one broke her foot in Spain last year during filming for Cloud Atlas, an adaptation of David Nichol's novel. 

The Hive is a thriller which also stars Little Miss Sunshine actress Abigail Breslin who plays an abducted teenage girl.

Halle takes on the role of an operator in a 911 call centre who takes a call from Abigail's character and together they attempt to track down the killer.

The Ocsar winner is also currently involved in a custody battle with former boyfriend, Calvin Klein model Gabriel Aubry for daughter Nahla.
