Following the news that his Friday slot on The One Show has been filled by radio presenter Chris Evans, a reportedly disgruntled Adrian Chiles is said to be reconsidering his future with the BBC.
The 43-year-old is apparently being wooed by ITV bosses for a full-time position on GMTV.
It has been claimed that ITV has put a £1million deal on the table to make Adrian the new face of football, fronting Champions League games as well as FA Cup and England matches. It is understood the proposed three-year contract would also see him become the new anchorman for GMTV.
"This is a massive signing for us. Adrian is a top talent and the public like his style," a source tells the Daily Mail.
"Adrian doesn't want to fall out with the BBC but he has been hurt by the way the BBC seems to have gone out of its way to try and relaunch the career of Chris Evans while putting The One Show's reputation at risk."
