TV favourite Fern Britton is in talks to take part in this year's edition of Strictly Come Dancing.
The bubbly presenter left This Morning in July after ten years on the show, but may soon be back on screens if TV bosses have their way.
In a bid to secure the 52-year-old, she has been offered Brendan Cole - who danced to victory with Natasha Kaplinksy in 2004 - as her partner.
"Fern is a major coup. Producers have been wooing her for some time, but it is only in the last few days talks have really progressed," a source told the Mirror.
"Brendan was lined-up to dance with Jo Wood but now bosses have offered him to Fern as bait."
Viewers have already been treated to a rendition Fern's fancy footwork. In March she performed a Singing In The Rain routine (pictured) for Comic Relief.
If she does decide to take part in the hit show, the mum-of-four will join Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood's estranged wife Jo, 50, and Loose Women's Lynda Bellingham.
Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding, boxing champ Joe Calzaghe and EastEnders actor Ricky Groves – who stars as mechanic Garry Hobbs – are also reported to have signed up.
The seventh series of Strictly will begin in September.
