Jenny Eclair stands up to cancer at Macmillan comedy show

Wednesday May 20, 2015

Macmillan Cancer and npower turned London's OXO Tower into the LOL Tower on Tuesday, as the charity hosted a raucous evening of comedy.

Comedian and novelist Jenny Eclair kicked the night off before introducing Jason Mark Cook to the stage, who left the audience in tears with his comedy on marriage and family life.

Vikki Stone added to the boisterous evening with comedy songs about Philip Schofield and Professor Brian Cox, before Mr Susie, the "loveable but clueless alien from the other side of the universe" taught the audience some new words he believes the human race needs.

Jenny closed off the evening with ten minutes of stand-up which dealt with growing old, but the heart of the evening went to Amrik Nagra, a young man who introduced Jenny to the stage and who is now three years into remission after battling Hodgkin's Lymphona.
