Producer Denise Di Novi has recently announced that Harry Potter golden girl Emma Watson will be starring in an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.
Emma, who has also been working on films The Perks of Being a Wallflower and My Week With Marilyn, will star as Belle in her newest project.
Pan's Labrynth and Hellboy director Guillermo del Toro will direct.
Like his past work, this film will probably have a dark and twisted feel to it.
This style seems to suit Emma's vision as a role model:
"I feel like young girls are told they have to be this kind of princess and be all this sweet stuff.
"It's all bull***t. I identify with more of being a warrior princess, so if I had to be a princess, I'd have to kick some ass first.
"That would have a lot of people terrified."
The 21-year-old also recently revealed to Vogue magazine that she feels her character in Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, has become a part of her.
Now that she is working on other projects she admitted: "I'm literally rediscovering what it means to be an actress."
