Denise Richards struggled for two years to adopt

Thursday July 21, 2011

Denise Richards has revealed that she tried to adopt for two years before she finally became mum to baby girl Eloise Joni.

The former Bond actress, 40, has now added to her family with the adorable five-week-old.

Denise, who already has daughters Sam, seven, and Lola, six, from her previous marriage to Charlie Sheen, told the US Magazine: "Some people think if a celebrity wants a baby, they get one the next day.

"The adoption took two years, and there were times I felt discouraged, times when I got close to adopting a baby and it fell through.

"But I knew the right baby would find us."

Wild Things star Denise, who has been with Eloise since she was born, said: "She's brought so much joy, and I love her to pieces."

She said her ex, former Two And A Half Men star Charlie, has spent time with the new baby, and is "very happy" for her.
