Adam Cottrell – the former fiancé of EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy – has been handed a restraining order prohibiting him from contacting her.
The 31-year-old, who at an earlier hearing pleaded guilty to two counts of assault and one of criminal damage, was called to East Herts magistrates court for sentencing.
Adam must do 120 hours of unpaid work as part of a 12-month community order with 12 months supervision.
He must also and pay £350 compensation for the damage he caused during his outbursts, £100 to Natalie and costs of £85.
Adam – who is father to Natalie's eight-month-old daughter Eliza – was due to marry the actress this year.
But they split after he attacked the 28-year-old actress at the home they shared in Hertfordshire.
