One Direction's Zayn Malik has removed his Twitter account, saying he's had enough of abusive messages.
The singer, who is currently dating Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, said that he was "sick of all the useless opinions and hate".
In his final messages to followers, Zayn, 19, said: "The reason I don't tweet as much as I use to, is because I'm sick of all the useless opinions and hate that I get daily. Goodbye Twitter."
Adding: "Fans that have something to say can tweet me on the One Direction account."
Fans have begun tweeting their support for the star and many parody accounts for the singer, who was born in Bradford, are still active.
Twitter users now trying to find the page, that once had millions of followers, will see the message: "Sorry, that page doesn't exist!"
