Strictly Come Dancing has come out top of the weekend viewing wars after keeping one million more viewers glued to its screens than rival X Factor.
The dancing show averaged 9.9 million viewers in comparison to X Factor's peak at 8.8 million.
X Factor has been suffering more than ever this season. It was more than 400,000 viewers down on the previous Saturday's programme.
Overall, the programme lost out on 1.3 million viewers in comparison to the show's equivalent last year.
Former judge Cheryl Cole has made a guest appearance on the series to boost ratings, but the show has had its lowest audience since Scotsman Leon Jackson won in 2007.
