His debut solo single is released in a week, but Olly Murs has family matters on his mind.
The 26-year-old singer has addressed comments made by his twin brother in a Sunday newspaper claiming that the X Factor has torn their family apart.
Ben Murs, younger by ten minutes, said that the pair haven’t spoken since Olly missed his wedding last year to compete in the talent show's semi-finals.
Describing his brother as a "self-obsessed sell-out", Ben (pictured, right, on his wedding day) said he never wants to speak to his sibling again after he missed the nuptials – Olly was due to be best man.
"Something was missing and that was Olly," he said. "It's clear people like Simon Cowell are more important to him than me."
Ben also revealed that the rift has also caused him to be estranged from his parents since the X Factor finalist, who finished second behind Joe McElderry, still lives with them.
But, writing in response on his official website, Olly said: "The bond between twins is a unique thing: I love my brother, always have and always will."
