Tulisa criticises 'fans' who threw bottles at Cher Lloyd

Thursday August 23, 2012

Tulisa Contostavlos has spoken out against music fans who hurled bottles at singer Cher Lloyd.

The Swagger Jagger star, 19, left the stage during her gig at V Festival in Chelmsford, Essex when a bottle was thrown at her.

Former member of N-Dubz and X Factor judge Tulisa, told Capital FM: "I just call it adult bullying, it's ridiculous... people forget how young she is and vulnerable."

The We Are Young singer said that she has faced similiar attacks: "I get bottles thrown at me all the time, but I'm so used to it that I'm just ducking and diving and carry on singing."

Cher did return to the stage after the incident but when more bottles were thrown at the stage she abandoned the performance.

She has spoken in the past about being targeted by online bullies since she appeared on the X Factor, saying: "There have been many times when I've cried myself to sleep."
