A Russian court has dismissed a lawsuit against Madonna for promoting gay rights at a concert in St. Petersburg.
The trial, which sought millions of pounds over the award-winning singer's comments, was over in a matter of hours and deemed "farcical" by commentators.
According to the plaintiffs, the artist's so-called "propoganda of perversion" would affect Russia's birth rate as well as eroding the country's national defence because of soldier shortages in the future.
At one point, the judge threatened to expell journalists from the courtroom for laughing too much.
Madonna and her spokeswoman declined to comment when the case was dropped.
