Paul McCartney is the latest addition to the star-studded line-up for a charity Hillsborough single, which will be battling for the much-coveted number one Christmas single spot.
The version of He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother will be performed by The Beatles icon as well as Robbie Williams, The Clash's Mick Jones, Rebecca Ferguson, Melanie Chisholm, Paloma Faith, Squeeze's Glen Tilbrook and The Beautiful South's Paul Heaton, who were more than happy to provide their time for free for the cause.
The track's proceeds will go towards covering the legal costs of those affected by the Hillsborough disaster in 1989.
Joining the X Factor in battling for the Christmas number one spot, the single will be released on December 17.
However, the victor of the much-loved singing competition will be announced a week earlier than usual on December 9.
