He was the butt of one of Ricky Gervais's jokes at the Golden Globes earlier this year.
But Johnny Depp, 47, seems to have forgiven Britain's funnyman and is reportedly set to star in his new sitcom Life's Too Short.
The comedian, 49, made a dig at the Hollywood actor's latest film, The Tourist, when he hosted the awards in January.
The Office star said: "It was a big year for 3D movies. Toy Story, Despicable Me, Tron… seems like everything was three-dimensional except the characters in The Tourist."
But a source has said that "Johnny will definitely guest star" in Ricky's new BBC2 show.
"Johnny is a huge fan of Ricky's and has a great sense of humour. He has wanted to work with Ricky for ages and this is it," they told the Sun.
Meanwhile, Ricky has let slip that he is set to make a second appearance as David Brent in the American version of The Office.
