Manchester was waiting with open arms on Tuesday for the return of their favourite boys, Take That. The pop icons prepared to perform the first of their five sold-out nights in their home city.
Even before the quartet got near the stage, they were swarmed by excited fans, hoping to get autographs and photos of Mark Owen (pictured), Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Jason Orange as they left their hotel.
Some 50,000 concert-goers cheered with delight when Take That opened the first of their Circus Live Tour gigs in the Old Trafford. "Manchester, your boys are home," shouted Mark before the band launched into their first number, Could It Be Magic.
They will perform in the North West England venue each night from Tuesday until Sunday, before opening at London's Wembley Stadium on July 1.
