After a rollercoaster day in court, Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to four months in jail on Friday.
The troubled actress, 24, was attending a hearing to decide whether she would stand trial for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace.
At first, things seemed to go well for Lindsay – the judge reduced the severity of the case from grand theft to a lesser charge.

For that, she was sentenced to 120 in prison – to begin immediately – plus 480 hours of community service.
Because of the reduction, Lindsay was able to post a $75,000 bail and was released within hours of arriving at Lynwood jail.
She remains free pending an appeal of the sentence – which legal experts say she has a slim chance of winning.
