Emma Watson has revealed she will be transferring from Brown to another university this autumn.
The news comes days after it was claimed she had put her studies on hold in March because she was being teased by class mates, fuelling the reports.
But the Harry Potter star's representative has quashed the rumours, instead insisting that Emma had simply decided to pursue a course not offered at Brown.
She even stated that Emma had "absolutely loved" her time at the Ivy League institution.
"I will still be working towards my degree... it's just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought," the 21-year-old wrote on her website after news of her break from studying.
"As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I've had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible."
Emma had been studying European women's history and drama.
She is the face of Burberry and was recently named as the ambassador of Lancome beauty.
