The Duchess of Cornwall has opened up about losing her mother to osteoporosis.
Camilla spoke of the agony she went through seeing her suffer.
Writing in the Daily Mail she said: “Seeing someone you love die slowly, in agony, and knowing nothing about the disease that killed them is heart-breaking.
“This was my mother 17 years ago, and the disease was called osteoporosis.”
Camilla is the President of the National Osteoporosis Society.
She aims to raise awareness of the bone disease and encourage people of all ages to take better care of themselves.
“Medical treatments are improving all the time and young people, at last, are being made aware that a good diet and exercise play a vital role in keeping their bones healthy.”
