Teen sensation Justin Bieber was forced to cancel his scheduled Australian concert on Monday after chaos broke out among fans.
Thousands of the singer's followers camped overnight at Sydney Harbour to see their idol perform on Monday.
But the frenzied crowd began to surge, prompting police to cancel the event after "more than 100 teens" became "distressed", according to officials.
Justin was said to be devastated by the news, which he later expressed on his Twitter page.
"I love my fans and I am just as disappointed as everyone else with the news from this morning. I want to sing for my fans. I want to make this clear... I don't cancel... I woke up this morning to the police canceling the show for safety reasons.
"I'm very happy about the welcome and the love from around the world, but I want everyone to still remember my fans' safety comes first."
