Dr Who actor Matt Smith has received his first nomination at the Bafta Television Awards.
The 28-year-old - cast as the eleventh Doctor in January 2009 - has received a nod in the leading actor category for his role in the hit show.
But he faces stiff competition.
Matt's fellow nominees are Any Human Heart's Jim Broadbent, Benedict Cumberbatch, who stars in Sherlock, and Eric and Ernie's Daniel Rigby.
Sci-fi drama Misfits has received the most nomination at this year's event, with recognition in four categories.
BBC's Sherlock has three nods, as has Any Human Heart and BBC Four drama, The Road to Coronation Street.
The 2011 Bafta Television Awards will take place on May 22 at Grosvenor House in London and will be hosted by Graham Norton.
