Arnold Schwarzenegger has said his son's condition is improving after a body-boarding accident at a Malibu beach.
The movie star and former California governor tweeted his appreciation to well-wishers.
His post said: "Thanks for all your support for Christopher.
"It means a lot to me & to him. He's doing much better & we'll have him back at full speed soon."
The 13-year-old son of the Terminator star and estranged wife Maria Shriver suffered a collapsed lung and broken bones in the accident on July 17.
But it isn't just his son's health that seems to be changing for the better.
The couple, who are in the midst of a divorce, seem to have resolved their differences over the issue of spousal support.
Arnie amended his initial petition denying his wife spousal support.
Lawyers had said that this may have been intended to reflect the fact that Maria is expected to receive a substantial lump sum as a settlement.
Family law specialist Scott Weston told People magazine that Arnie's initial denial of support was "standard practice".
The lawyer also gave his theory as to why the former politician changed his mind.
"He's taking a lot of heat for having done it, as if he was intending to cut her off, which was not the case."
