She's a regular on Hollywood's glamorous social scene, but Paris Hilton left her glitzy LA life behind this week as she made a humanitarian visit to Guatemala.
Following in the footsteps of Angelina Jolie - who's visited troubled regions all over the world in her role as a UN Goodwill Ambassador - Paris made a heartfelt journey to the poverty stricken country with the Interface Foundation, a charity which helps connect celebrities to good causes.
During the trip, in which she visited various village hopsitals and spent time with local families, the 28-year-old kept her fans posted through her Twitter account.
"It's the most rewarding and beautiful feeling to give back. It's not hard, anyone can do it," the hotel heiress wrote.
"It's all about your heart...It was a pleasure, those children touched my heart and soul. My outlook on life is so different now."
