Robert De Niro is to be awarded a top acting prize at the Hollywood Film Awards.
The iconic actor, famed for his appearances in Taxi Driver and Goodfellas, will receive the Hollywood Supporting Actor award for his role as a depressed secondary school teacher in Silver Linings Playbook.
The film which earned Robert his prize also won a People's Choice Award at the Toronto Film Festival.
Carlos de Abreu, the founder of the awards, rated the actor's performance as "outstanding."
He said: "Robert De Niro is not only highly regarded for his body of work as an actor, producer and director, but also for the passion, integrity, and dedication he brings to his performances on camera, as well as his intense off-camera preparation and study of the characters he brings to life."
Also to be honoured at the ceremony are screenwriter Judd Apatow and Batman actress Marion Cotillard.
