Yachtsman Juan Carlos joins Albert in Monaco

King Juan Carlos of Spain and Prince Albert have made a joint appearance at Monaco's Yacht Show.

Both keen yachtsmen, the royals perused over 100 super yachts with an average length of around 45m.

Over 30,000 visitors paid a trip to the annual event which attracts the rich and famous from all over the globe.

The Spanish king was a member of his country's sailing team for the 1972 Olympics in Munich and is frequently seen at the helm of the royal yacht Bribon.

Earlier this year the historic vessel took part in it's final race after 38 years of service.
