Joseph-Gordon Levitt has revealed that he is thrilled with his directorial debut, Don Jon's Addiction.

As well as directing the dark comedy, the Dark Knight Rises star has written the script about "a modern day Don Juan".

Although he hasn't released full details, Joseph says that his first feature is coming together smoothly.

He said: "It's a dark comedy, I guess you could call it, and I'm super proud of it. We're editing it right now."

The star has also cast a series of A-list actors for the film, including Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore and Brie Larson.

Joseph said: "I wrote the part for Scarlett Johansson and she liked the script enough to do it. She's fantastic in it. Julianne Moore is in it, she's also really fantastic in it."

The actor has had chance to learn from the best. The 500 Days Of Summer star has worked alongside Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan and Rian Johnson.
