Jamie Oliver’s company has announced that it will be closing three of its four Union Jacks restaurants with immediate effect.
Branches in Chiswick, Holborn and Winchester will shut down this week, due to being “no longer sustainable in the current challenging climate,” according to an official statement.
The flagship in Covent Garden Piazza will remain open and is said to be “trading well” according to the TV chef’s company’s reports.
It’s not all bad news for Jamie, who announced last week that a branch of Jamie’s Italian restaurants would be opening in the Swedish capital of Stockholm.
“I’m really looking forward to kicking off our first restaurant in Stockholm,” said Jamie. “It’s going to be epic.”
