Russell Crowe is struggling to find a place in Pembrokeshire where he can live while filming action-adventure Robin Hood in the principality over the summer.
So far his representatives have tried to hire two luxury homes – a 12-bedroom, £1.5 million house near Cardigan and a £2.3 million, eight-bedroom farm house set in 230 acres of idyllic countryside. In both cases the owners declined to rent, however.
According to local estate agents properties of the calibre required by the screen star rarely come up for rent.
If a property does suddenly become available, it's unlikely to come cheap. High-end homes command rents of around £5,000 a week, and knowing a movie star is interested might tempt owners to boost the price admit agents
