Prince Michael of Kent has defended his 32-year marriage.
The Queen's cousin said although he and his wife Princess Michael spend a "lot of time apart" they have a "tremendous" relationship.
The pair came under scrutiny four years ago over the Princess' close friendship with Russian tycoon Mikhail Kravchenko.
But the royal told HELLO! that she is a "tactile person" - which led people to read more into the friendship than was the case.
And now her husband given an interview insisting that their union is strong.
"I think people put two and two together and make five," he told the Sunday Telegraph.
"We spend a lot of time apart.
"The Princess is a writer and she likes to get to write.
"We both have different interests and, although some coincide, this makes for a much richer life than always doing the same thing.
So we have a tremendous life and we enjoy practically all of it."
