John Travolta has won a court battle against an author who accused the actor of frequenting gay bathouses.
Robert Randolph, author of You'll Never Spa In This Town Again, unsuccessfully sued the actor for libel.
Robert accused John of spreading lies about the state of his mental health to discredit his work.
In a letter allegedly leaked by the Saturday Night Fever star's lawyer, Marty Singer, it is stated that the book was "a pack of lies".
The judge ruled, however, that the letter was part of a legal dispute over the book, therefore the information was covered by the First Amendment in American law.
The actor has recently returned to the screen after a break from the industry following the tragic death of his son, Jett.
John stars alongside Salma Hayek, Blake Lively and Aaron Taylor-Wood in new film, Savages.
