Newlyweds Kate and Ned to celebrate in space

Newlyweds Kate Winslet and Ned RocknRoll are reportedly set to celebrate with a trip into space.

The pair, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in New York, are said to be joining other rich and famous names on a Virgin Galactic flight.

According to the Sun, Ned's uncle Sir Richard Branson has given Kate the ticket - worth around £124,000 - as a reward for helping save his mum Eve from a blaze at his Necker Island home last year.

The Oscar-winning mum-of-two, who got engaged during the summer, was reportedly given away by her Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio when she wed Ned in front of her children and close friends.

In September, Sir Richard said of Kate: "She wants to go into space. I'm not sure she wants to go on a one-way trip to Mars, but she wants to go into space."

Other celebs planning to make the 60-mile Virgin Galactic journey include Russell Brand and Ashton Kutcher. The firm hopes to start commercial flights next year.
