Former The X Factor winner Leona Lewis had to reschedule recording sessions for her new album after being knocked to the ground by her beloved horse.
The London-born singer had gone for an early morning ride in LA when her stallion, which was a birthday present from her family and friends – flicked it's head back and accidentally struck her with suck force she split her lip and crashed to the ground.
"Thankfully she didn't need any surgery, but was told to stay at home and rest just in case she passed out with concussion," a pal tells the Daily Mirror. The star, who has been riding since she was a child "doesn't blame the horse – it was just one of those things", adds the friend.
