Grey’s Anatomy actress Sarah Drew is expecting her second child.
The 33-year-old star of the hit medical drama announced the joyous news to her 290,000 Twitter followers on Tuesday, adding a photo of her growing bump with the caption, “Nope. That’s not a fake belly”.
The latest addition will be the second child for Sarah and her husband of 12 years, Peter Lanfer, who is a university lecturer in Jewish Studies. The couple already have a two-year-old son Micah Emmanuel, who was born in January 2012.
Although due in December, the University of Virginia graduate turned actress will not need to worry about balancing the challenges of pregnancy, motherhood and her career. Her Grey’s Anatomy costars proved a constant rock the first time she was expecting, offering all sorts of guidance.
“I got great advice about nausea from Ellen Pompeo…from Jessica Capshaw, especially about the brand of Pampers I’m supposed to be using…from Chyler Leigh about breastfeeding,” Sarah explained to Us Weekly. She also added how “very lucky” she was with toddler Micah: “For the most part, he’s incredibly sweet and funny and such a good boy.”
