It's emerged Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski could face more time in prison after his legal team were told by the Swiss court a decision as to whether to release him could take weeks.
The Piano filmmaker faces extradition to the US, in which he has not set foot for over 30 years.
He was arrested in Zurich at the weekend after fleeing the States in 1977 when he admitted to having sex with a 13-year-old girl.
More than 100 leading Hollywood figures, including directors Martin Scorcese and Woody Allen, have now signed the petition against his arrest.
It was started up by Roman's actress wife Emanuelle Seigner.
