Daniel Radcliffe takes Ginsberg film to Sundance

Friday November 30, 2012

Shedding his lightning scar for pastures new, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is becoming one of the most sought after actors in the industry.

The actor's portrayal of Beat Generation poet Allen Ginsberg in Kill Your Darlings will make its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

Donning glasses and brown-coloured eye contacts for the role, Daniel's turn as the literary figure details Allen forming the Beat Generation with writers William S Burroughs and Jack Keroauc on the back of a gruesome murder.

And the poet isn't the only figure of the movement who has had his work immortalised on the silver screen recently. The film adaptation of On The Road, starring Kristen Stewart as Marylou, received critical acclaim, and scooped a Hollywood Film Award for its efforts.

And of course, Robert Redford's festival would not be complete without an array of other A-listers joining in the fold. Octavia Spencer, Casey Affleck, Rooney Mara and Jessica Biel have also confirmed that they will be making an appearance over the two-week event.
