Benedict Cumberbatch has swapped playing Julian Assange for a judging role as he has announced that he will help decide who wins BAFTA's Rising Star Award.
The actor, who will play the part of the Wikileaks founder in an upcoming biopic, will join five other film industry figures to decide the five nominees for the newcomer prize.
Thrilled to give actors a crucial step-up in the industry, the 36-year-old said: "It's a great platform for young actors and actresses to shine and I'm thrilled to be on board."
The actor had his own breakthrough in 2006, when he took the lead in a biopic about abolitionist William Wilberforce, Amazing Grace.
Voted for by the public, James McAvoy, Tom Hardy and Kristen Stewart are just a few of the previous winners of the prestigious prize.
