Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's British actor Henry Cavill.
The 27-year-old has been unveiled as the new Man of Steel – and his alter ego Clarke Kent.
Jersey-born Henry will appear in the upcoming Superman film, which will hit screens in December 2012.
Like Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh before him, Henry is a relative unknown in Hollywood, probably best known for his role on hit series, The Tudors.
Speaking about the film, director Zack Snyder said: "In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognised and revered character of all time, and I am honoured to be part of his return to the big screen.
"I also join Warner Bros and the producers in saying how excited we are about the casting of Henry.
"He is the perfect choice to don the cape and S shield."
