With several members of the royal family watching, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Zara Phillips is continuing her bid for Olympic equestrian success.
Germany were leading in the nailbiting competition at Greenwich Park, south east London with the British riders in second.
During her round, the Queen's granddaughter clipped a fence and incurred a time fault, meaning she went over 83 seconds.
"I just had to get on with it [after the second fence went down]. Unfortunately that happens"
It was the Olympic debut for Zara, who is following the footsteps of her parents, both former Olympians.
Despite her disappointing performance on Tuesday the equestrian royal said that the whole week had been "amazing."
