ANDREA CORR TOPS 'HELLO'S MOST ATTRACTIVE WOMAN ONLINE POLL

Fans of the Irish pop group The Corrs have spoken, voting Andrea Corr the Most Attractive Woman to appear in HELLO! magazine last year in our online poll. With all the responses in for this week’s grand finale, the Celtic vocalist easily scooped the title with a whopping 75.5 per cent of votes.

Ewan McGregor landed the cachet of Most Attractive Male, with close on 12,000 hellomagazine.com readers voting in his favour, while Queen Rania of Jordan captured 21 per cent of votes in her category, to be defined as the Most Elegant Woman in the magazine in 2001.

The coy shot of Andrea Corr, taken at the wedding of her sister Sharon to Gavin Bonnar, saw the Irish stunner outstrip her fellow nominees, including Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox Arquette, to top the Most Attractive Woman category with 19,305 votes. Her victory may come as no surprise to many, however, as Andrea – often dubbed the “Celtic goddess” by the press – is considered one of the best looking women in the music biz. “I’m flattered by the attention,” Andrea once said about her constant appearance on “Most Beautiful” lists around the world, “but…attractiveness to me has more to do with heart and soul, not body.”

In a landslide victory, Andrea beat runner-up Michelle Pfeiffer by more than 17,000 votes, with Queen Rania of Jordan trailing just 370 votes behind the Catwoman actress, to slip into third place with a six per cent slice of responses.

Good looks obviously run in the Corr family as Andrea’s elder brother Jim also held his own in the Most Attractive Male category, but it wasn’t quite enough to fend off heart-throb Ewan McGregor. More than 40,000 votes were cast in the online poll which placed the Moulin Rouge star ahead of the field with just under a third of the vote, just ahead of the Irish musician.

Audiences who enjoyed Ewan’s performances in Moulin Rouge and the recently released Black Hawk Down, will get to see even more of the handsome Scot in the future – much more. Speaking of his new film, Young Adam, the actor known for his racy roles in The Pillow Book and Velvet Goldmine says: “The movie has a lot of sex scenes, but I have never been shy about this sort of thing.”

And Jim Corr wasn’t the only hunk the sexy Phantom Menace star pipped to the post. With ten percent of the vote Keanu Reeves made it into third place, beating ER heart-throb Goran Visnjic, Richard Gere and youthful object of teen lust, Prince William.

Though she didn’t take the Most Attractive crown, Rania, dressed in a bronze silk gown, narrowly edged out singer Celine Dion for the Most Elegant Woman title. As well known for her down-to-earth manner and progressive social agenda as her immaculate style, the world’s youngest queen captured the imaginations of hellomagazine.com readers, 21 per cent of whom deemed her worthy of the top slot.

Celine admirers were also active, sending the vocalist soaring into second place. The My Heart Will Go On singer’s trendy grey trouser suit and double string of pearls, which she wore to the christening of her son René Charles in July, 2001, was just one example of the classic outfits which have made her a fashion favourite with our readers.

Curvaceously stylish Catherine Zeta-Jones rounded out the top three positions with a respectable 16 percent of the votes. The shot of her sashaying up the red carpet in a low-cut sequinned number on the arm of her actor husband Michael Douglas, secured her the third place.
