They call it the city that never sleeps and British bombshell Elizabeth Hurley doesn't seem to be getting much rest during her latest visit to New York. Over the past few days the 41-year-old star has stepped out to a series of glitzy shindigs as she makes the most of her sojourn in the buzzing metropolis.

On Thursday night the Austin Powers actress was snapped rubbing shoulders with a roll-call of American stars at a bash thrown by champagne company Moet & Chandon. And the mum-of-one easily managed to live up to her glamorous reputation as she was photographed, with the Statue of Liberty in the background, wearing a red strapless gown.

A-list revelry wasn't the only motivation for her trip stateside, though, as Elizabeth has also put in a series of appearances for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. And the Estee Lauder model looked stunning in a glamorous white gown with horseshoe detailing when she attended a publicity event in General Motors Plaza on Monday.

More casual attire was the order of the day when she showed off her culinary skills in Macy's Department Store, however. The blue-eyed beauty was sporting a printed top and navy trousers for that event, which was staged to promote a fundraising recipe book called In Good Taste. Two days before, at the publication's Bloomindale launch, she sent pulses racing in fitted purple satin, while another press call in the heart of Manhattan saw her in classic black.
