Celebrity Brits were out in force this week to mark a new, very British, addition to the illuminations on the Big Apple's famous skyline.
Hunky English actor Orlando Bloom headed up the contingent at a party hosted by English fashion label Burberry to celebrate the switching on of the lights at the label's new American HQ. The festivities, which were co-hosted by Burberry's Yorkshire-born creative director Christopher Bailey, attracted Hugh Dancy and his fiancee Claire Danes, Alexa Chung - who provided the evening's music with a DJ set - and model Lily Donaldson, the face of the label's latest ad campaign.
Joining fashion-conscious ex-pats on the 300-strong guest list were some of the city's most stylish residents including Helena Christensen, Kirsten Dunst and Gossip Girl's Blake Lively.
The launch of its US headquarters came as the British label confirmed it will return to London Fashion Week in September to help celebrate the event's 25th anniversary, instead of showing, as it usually does, in Milan.
