Since tying the knot on Sunday, the happy husband and wife have chosen to remain on British soil, getting on with day-to-day activities in London rather than soaking up the sun in a foreign country.
"Why do we need to go abroad when the weather's like this," the 31-year-old Strictly Come Dancing finalist joked during a very short sunny spell in the British capital.
Even the cloudy skies couldn’t dampen spirits of Rachel and Alex, also 31, who flashed their new rings as they hugged and kissed while doing the very normal activity of picking up dry cleaning near their Hampstead home on Tuesday.
On Monday, the day after their nuptials, the couple enjoyed a meal out together at an Italian restaurant, where they were spotted enjoying a two-for-one pizza deal.
Friends have said they are planning a honeymoon eventually, but for now are happy to remain in London.
They're just a very down-to-earth, ordinary couple and not at all into that showbizzy thing," a pal told the Mirror.
