TV couple Vernon Kaye and Tess Daly have put the difficult last few weeks behind them with a public display of togetherness at the Prince's Trust Celebrate Success Awards.
The husband-and-wife team were on presenting duty at the London ceremony – their first public outing since revelations that Vernon sent racy texts to a glamour model and other girls.
Thirty-five-year-old Vernon was the attentive husband at the bash. After telling the audience: "It is such a treat to have an afternoon out," he gazed at Tess and continued: "especially in such esteemed company."
He put his hand round her waist and made a point of just shaking hands with female stars.
Vernon - along with his wife- declined walking the red carpet – instead entering and exiting through a side door to the Odeon in Leicester Square. He has publicly apologised to 40-year-old Tess during his Radio One show.
Also present at the event, celebrating young people who have overcome problems such as homelessness and drug addiction, were celebrity ambassadors for the Prince's Trust. Among them Chris Evans, Moira Stewart and Michael Caine.
They were all later introduced to Prince Charles backstage.
