She's used to flying high in the charts, but Sugababe Amelle Berrabah reached a completely different level recently on her first ever skydive.

The plucky singer leapt out of a plane at 13,000ft, taking part in a tandem skydive with the Red Devils to raise funds for cancer research.

It's a cause close to her heart – 25-year-old Amelle lost her father Mohamed to the disease eight years ago.

After completing her jump, Amelle – who enjoyed 30 seconds of freefall before her tandem partner released their parachute – said: "I'd definitely do it again, it was amazing and out of this world."

She did, however admit that she panicked slightly when she reached the plane door to make the jump. All that was forgotten though, after she had floated down to the Netheravon air base in Wiltshire.

The singer posted on Twitter afterwards: "Done it!!!!! Amazing!!!!! Wow!!! Loved it!!!!"
