Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry have decided to call time on their four-year relationship.
After growing speculation in the media on Friday, 34-year-old Gabriel confirmed that the couple – who have a two-year-old daughter, Nahla, together - have split up.
"I am sad to say that Halle and I have decided together to separate at this time," he told Access Hollywood.
"She is, and will forever be, one of the most special and beautiful people that I have ever known and I am certain that we will continue to have only love and respect for one another.
"We are blessed with the most amazing daughter in the world, and her happiness and well-being are the most important thing for both of us," Gabriel concluded. "Please respect our privacy during this very difficult time."
While news of the split has only just been made public, it has since come to light that Halle and the French-Canadian model (pictured together in October) went their separate ways months ago.
A representative for the Oscar-winner – who met Gabriel at a Versace store opening in February 2006 – has confirmed that the pair "have been spilt for some time, but remain committed parents to their daughter."
Spotted out and about in New York over the weekend, 43-year-old actress Halle is certainly keeping busy.
After attending a charity event on Thursday, she stepped out to see Denzel Washington perform on Broadway in his new play, Fences on Saturday, before making an appearance in Times Square to support thousands of walkers taking part in a charity event for breast cancer.
