In the world of showbiz, few friendships have endured as well as that between Courteney Cox Arquette and Jennifer Aniston. The two best pals have a well-documented, affectionate relationship, and they spend a great deal of time together away from the public eye – the Bounty Hunter star often holidays with Courteney, her husband David Arquette and her goddaughter Coco. And with so much love between the leading ladies, there was no way that Jen was going to miss out on supporting her friend as she received her first big award.

The 41-year-old beauty - back in LA from Hawaii - made a discreet appearance at the Women in Film's 2010 Crystal and Lucy Awards, where Courteney was honoured for excellence in television.

Jen, who coincidentally received the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film last year, clapped enthusiastically with her hands held high in the air as the Cougar Town beauty went up on stage to receive her award. "She was so proud of Court," an insider told Hollywood Life. "They've been friends forever and she just wanted to be here for her when she accepted her first award." Keen to keep all the focus on her friend, Jen reportedly kept a very low profile at the ceremony, to the extent that many guests didn't even realise she was there.

"She slipped in after the red carpet was pretty much packed up and sat down at the table next to Isla Fisher," the source revealed. "She sneaked away before the show wrapped up." Also supporting Courteney was husband David, who proudly escorted his wife of ten years down the red carpet before the night's proceedings got underway. Other stars at the event included Face of the Future award winner Zoe Saldana, who arrived with her mum Asalia, Debra Messing, High School Musical's Vanessa Hudgens and Emily Blunt, recipient of the Zoe's award in 2007.
