Rachel Weisz and US film director Darren Aronofsky have ended their nine-year relationship.
In a statement, the couple confirmed that they had been "separated for some months", adding "they remain close friends" and "committed to raising their son together in New York City."
London-born Rachel and Darren - whose next film, Black Swan, has been tipped for Oscar glory - are parents to four-year-old Henry.
After work finished on 2006's The Fountain, – their only film together - Darren, 41, proposed to the 40-year-old actress in Times Square, but the pair never married.
Before getting together with Darren, The Constant Gardner beauty's boyfriends included Neil Morrissey, Sam Mendes – ex-husband of Kate Winslet - and comedian Ben Miller.
According to TMZ, there might be a new man in her life.
The US website is linking Rachel with James Bond actor Daniel Craig, after they spent time working together on upcoming film Dream House in February and March this year.
Despite the fact that the 007 star has been with his girlfriend Satsuki Mitchell since 2005, a source told the Daily Mail that Rachel was "head over heels" for Daniel, 42.
"Rachel and Daniel simply sparked during the filming of Dream House in Canada. They have great chemistry," the source said.
"Darren's such a good and responsible man, but Daniel's the opposite extreme, he's brooding and mysterious. Darren and Rachel have simply grown apart; they spent long periods away from each other, moving in different directions."
