Victoria Beckham: The style queen weighs up her options for the royal wedding
26 APRIL 2011
is the one guest whose attire for the royal wedding is causing almost as much speculation as the bride's.
And given the enormity of the occasion, it's likely that acclaimed fashion designer will have spent a considerable amount of time planning ahead.
Under normal circumstances, one could hedge a bet on a tight-fitting, figure-flattering dress, a wardrobe favourite of Victoria's.
But a six-month baby bump
combined with a strong awareness of dressing according to shape may mean Victoria will steer clear of body con creations and opt for a looser-fitting number.
This change in direction was even reflected in her most recent collection Autumn/Winter 2012,
which featured many loose silhouettes and sack dresses.
And a Posh poncho may even be a possibility, Victoria having once said: "I fell in love with ponchos when I was pregnant with Cruz".
"They were my pals, the only things that had room for my tummy, my boobs and my back."
Despite the fact that her new collection is loaded with pretty pastels and that bold colour blocking is very now, Victoria is keener on more muted colours during her pregnancies.
But one thing we can count on is that the 37-year-old will not swap style for comfort, and will most certainly be clad in towering heels, the former Spice Girl's trademark.
She even states in her style book, That Extra Half an Inch, that she swears by footwear boasting six inches, deeming kitten heels "unfavourable" for the legs.
